I need to claim that I “love” my supervisor, Prof. Simon Zhao.
(Laughter from Audiences)
Dear Professors and Fellow Students,
I am Chen Chaofan, a senior in the Globalisation and Development programme.
As we gather here for today’s showcase, we celebrate the culmination of our incredible undergraduate study journey. This exhibition is the result of our hard work and dedication, and we should be immensely proud of what we have accomplished.
Behind our achievements, we should extend our heartfelt appreciation to our FYP supervisors; they have been with us every step of the way. Their guidance and support have been crucial in shaping our successful FYPs. We owe them a debt of gratitude.
I invite you to visit the GAD cohort’s posters; these projects have attempted to address some of the critical challenges posed by globalisation, development issues like inequality, and the pandemic. I hope these ideas inspire you to think more critically about our world.
As we reflect on our achievements, let us remember that this is just the beginning of our life journey. We live in a rapidly changing, globally interconnected world where there are still many dire issues that need our attention. As young talents of the world, we do not just bear the responsibility but also have opportunities to be creative problem-solvers to tackle those challenges.
Finally, let us rejoice and celebrate our achievements today!
Congratulations to all of us!
Thank you.
(Applause from the Audiences)
