Taiwan province remains a mystery for many Chinese Mainland residents, as it is an island that the government asserts belongs to the state in terms of sovereignty but is unable to exercise administrative power over. In order to personally experience this region, I embarked on a journey from the northern city of Taipei to the southern city of Kaohsiung in May 2024, where I encountered numerous captivating and picturesque attractions.
