As the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China arrived, the Hong Kong Garrison of the People’s Liberation Army organized an open day for the Hong Kong public to closely observe the progression of China’s military advancements. Chaofan joined the delegation of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Hong Kong and participated in the event and visited the Shek Kong Barracks (石崗軍營) in the New Territories.
