March 1st 2025 | Taipei
During my journey to attend the 2025 International Studies Association Convention in Chicago, I had a brief one-day layover in Taipei. Making the most of my short stay, I decided to visit the iconic National Palace Museum (台北故宫博物院), renowned for its extensive collection of Chinese art and cultural artifacts. This world-class museum houses countless treasures spanning thousands of years, offering a fascinating glimpse into the rich history and heritage of China.
My visit to the museum, though brief, was an immersive experience, filled with awe and admiration for its meticulously curated exhibits. With limited time, I took an intensive tour, delving into the stories behind ancient scrolls, intricate jade carvings, and priceless ceramics on display. The serene atmosphere of the museum complemented its grandeur, leaving me with a deep appreciation for the timeless beauty of Chinese culture. It was the perfect way to make my one-day stopover in Taipei truly memorable.
