Chaofan’s co-authored chapters in the book “Comparative Studies on Pandemic Control Policies and the Resilience of Society” will be published by Springer Nature, a world-renowned publishing house.
Chen Chaofan has acted as a research assistant under the supervision of Professor Simon Xiaobin ZHAO (Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at BNU-HKBU United International College) and engaged in Prof. Zhao-led book project team as a contributor. 随笔：2022年11月14日：想不出应该起什么题目的胡写
好久不见！ 上次提笔写公众号文章已经是很久以前的事情了。为什么不写呢？一是因为我有点忙，到了大四除了要完成五门课业任务和一门毕业论文，还有研究生的申请等等。二是，我在很长一段时间里，不知道写什么，也不想组织那么长的文字来诉说什么，因为大家已经很不容易了，有些话不说也罢。三是由于众所周知的原因，言论的尺度在急剧地缩小，不清晰的尺度让我不知道什么能说什么不能说。今年过去了十一个月，我的账号被限制过三次，而每一次限制的原因，都让人无与伦比地感到奇妙和无语。 今天提笔再写点东西，首先是因为今天心情不好，我已经在这几个月主动或被动地接受了太多的负面信息以导致情绪排解能力大幅下降。二是想和大家分享一下最近的听闻以及我对它们的想法。三是希望能缓解一下我自己，以及可能和我一样被负面信息困扰的人，的不好的情绪，人总要把东西说出来才能释怀。 今天就写这么多，差不多三千字。我要去写作业了，下次再聊。2022年11月14日晚上九点，写于珠海。 Read.

Chaofan Hosted the UIC Leadership Forum 2021 on UICers’ Engagement in Sustainable Development
Repost from UIC Website: 中文 (Chinese Only) 领袖论坛2021：UICer如何参与可持续发展 在人、社会与环境可持续发展过程中，领袖的作用和影响力举足轻重。本次领袖论坛中，各嘉宾与学生领袖共同就UIC学生如何参与可持续发展展开讨论。 文逸从交通与环保的关系方面展开话题，探讨节能减排的关键性及我国目前移动源排放的情况。此外，环境保护需要领导力的带动和指导，在UIC的环保实践中，同学们应该做到两点：认清问题的源头和理解解决方案。 王小毛从气候变化下“脆弱”的绿洲的角度与同学们分享她所见到的世界大环境的变化，尤其在森林生态环境方面，呼吁以众人之力塑造环保之力。 曹昊谈到可持续发展应该是习惯，而不是选择。而学生领袖是提升可持续发展影响力的有力角色。 孙睿浛结合近期校园发布的有关环保政策和节能成效，认为UIC校内节能需要每个人的积极行动。 尹嘉滢提到环保涉及到节能、减排、气候等多个维度，UIC学生富有自己的专业学识，不局限于环保相关人员及专业，希望未来更多学生能够学以致用为可持续发展注入更多创意和力量。 李川浩分享了赣南油茶项目组采用商业手段解决茶油滞销问题的，与环境科学系阮华达教授合作，将果壳制成活性炭，回收废弃的活性炭，回田作为肥料，从茶渣提取茶皂素进行洗手液的生产，充分发挥了可持续发展的经济价值，为茶农带来更多收入。 陈超凡从全球合作与政策方面分享了一些看法，他认为学生领袖应当利用自身的影响力，宣传和推广可持续发展。 Read.
